I was recently invited to a local primary school to be interviewed by the students on ‘life as an artist’ for an in-house newspaper titled, “Warrandyte Wonder”.
It was such a great experience to show work, share stories and answer some really fabulous questions from the kids.
Some of the newspaper articles written by the budding journalists of grade 3 & 4 were too precious not to share!
I think the story that they loved the most was about a frog living in my studio. I find my resident ‘Perron’s Tree Frog’ in the most peculiar places…. sometimes behind an easel, sometimes beneath a painting and on several occasions - in my kettle!
SO glad I didn’t turn it on! 😳😁
As my little studio frog was unnamed, the kids decided to call him ‘Freddo’ (after a very well known chocolate amphibian)
